About the Filmmaker
Nate Lessler is a Seattle-based filmmaker and editor whose work explores how place and history shape the stories we tell. With a professional background in documentary and post-production, he has edited and produced projects for nonprofits, cultural organizations, and commercial clients, bringing a wide range of experience in writing, shooting, editing, and managing complex productions. His editing credits include the award-winning documentary Ultimate Citizens, which has won over 25 awards and screened at more than 50 festivals worldwide.
The Seattle Earthquake Project is his first feature film as a director, weaving archival research, personal anxieties, and collective memory to examine how the Pacific Northwest lives with seismic risk.
